Child Safe Policy
SWIM RECRUIT’s policy guides paid workers and volunteers on how to behave when interacting and engaging with children. It focuses on building and maintaining a child safe environment that is inclusive, transparent and promotes children’s participation.
Children’s participation
SWIM RECRUIT supports the active participation of children through several feedback channels. Children can speak with their instructor or parent, leave feedback with the office, or ask to speak with an offsite manager.
Recruitment
SWIM RECRUIT maintains a rigorous and consistent recruitment, screening and selection process. We use the Office of the Children’s Guardian interview template, conduct two reference checks, and require a Working With Children Check.
Complaints management and reporting
Record complaints using the complaints record form. Contact SWIM RECRUIT on 0414 921 422 or email victoria@swimrecruit.com.au. Victoria Rich is the Child Safety Contact Person. Complaints and reports are managed through a documented step-by-step process.
Training, support and supervision of workers
We promote respect, fairness and consideration. All workers have a senior worker assigned as a supervisor. New workers receive the child safe policies and attend an induction meeting.
